Former Liverpool striker David N’Gog has gone missing after joining French club Stade de Reims.

The French star reportedly pulled out from their league match against Lorient on Saturday, September 20, 2014, due to an illness.

Reims’ team doctor also confirmed N’Gog was ill, diagnosing him with gastroenteritis after visiting the 25-year-old in his hotel room, where he’s been living since his transfer in the summer. However, when staff later checked in on the former France under-21 player, he was no longer in his room, and all his personal belongings were missing.

With no information on his whereabouts, the team coach Jean-Luc Vasseur has been quoted as telling the team that N’gog is ‘bedridden with a virus. This is all I know.’

David N’Gog has played for Liverpool, Bolton Wanderers and Swansea City.
